The Bible
We believe the Bible, Old and New Testament, in its original writing, is the trust-worthy Word of God which contains no error.  It was supernaturally breathed by the Spirit of God to man and it contains the complete story man needs in order to have an eternal relationship with God.
Psalm 119:1602 Timothy 3:16-172 Peter 1:20-21

The Godhead
We believe in one God that exists in 3 distinct persons:  the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The 3 are eternally co-existent and equal in all power and glory and have always lived in perfect relationship with one another.
Genesis 1:1-2, 262 Corinthians 13:14Colossians 2:91 Peter 1:2

Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son.  He came to earth as fully God taking on the full form of man.  His purpose and mission in relationship to the Father is to reestablish a broken relationship between the Father and fallen mankind.  His virgin birth allowed Him to live a perfect, sinless life on earth while experiencing all the trials and tribulations that man faces.  Because of His lack of sin, He became the only and perfect sacrifice and offered Himself to bear man’s sin burden.  The shedding of His blood and His death on the cross appeased God’s judgment.  His resurrection three days later proves His power over sin, death and the curse.
Genesis 3:16Isaiah 9:6Matthew 1:22-23John 1:1-5Romans 1:3-41 Corinthians 15:3-4

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the presence of God in the life of the believer.  He draws sinful man to God and baptizes the believer into an eternal relationship with the Father.  He is the provider of peace, comfort, spiritual insight and direction for the believer.  His presence in the life of the believer is a constant promise and it is the daily challenge of the believer to yield his will to the Holy Spirit.  He provides gifts to every believer to be used for the growth, education and uplifting of the local church.  The presence or use of any of those gifts is purely the work of the Spirit in the believer and is not a reflection of the spirituality of the believer.
John 16:7Romans 8:9-111 Corinthians 6:191 Corinthians 12:1-112 Corinthians 3:17Ephesians 5:18

Mankind
We believe Mankind is created by God, in the image of God, to project the grace and glory of God.  Through man’s willful disobedience towards God, beginning with Adam and passed through the bloodline of the human race, man broke his relationship with God and is incapable of restoring it on his own.  This disobedience is called sin.
Genesis 1:27Genesis 3:6-7Romans 3:23Romans 5:12

Salvation
We believe Salvation is the free gift of God available to any and all who call upon Jesus.  Through the revelation of the Spirit of God, we recognize that our sin separates us from God.  By believing that Jesus took our sin penalty in His death on the cross, we place our faith, belief and trust in His free gift of redemption.  By trusting Jesus for salvation, He covers our sin and restores us to a renewed relationship with God.  Eternal life begins the moment we place our faith in Jesus for salvation.
Genesis 3:15Isaiah 53:5John 3:16John 14:6Acts 2:21Romans 6:23Romans 10:9-13Galatians 3:23-27Ephesians 2:8-9

Eternal Security
We believe that every person that trusts Jesus for salvation is eternally secure by the work of the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption.
John 3:16John 10:28-291 Timothy 1:121 Peter 1:3-5

The Church
We believe the Church, as the bride of Christ, is a baptized body of believers which exists to project the grace and glory of God to fallen mankind.  We believe it is the responsibility of the believers within the church to exercise the commands given her by Christ, the head of the church.  The ordinances of the church are baptism of the believer by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, which reflect the ongoing work of Christ to the world.
Matthew 28:18-20John 17:11Acts 2:41Acts 14:271 Corinthians 12:12-14Ephesians 1:221 Peter 5:1-41 Corinthians 11:23-26

End Times
We believe the Father is in absolute control of this earth and End Times.  In His own time and way, He will send Jesus to rapture the Church.  This will begin 7 years of tribulation followed by the Second Coming of Christ to earth where He will establish His reign on earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.  After this, all will be judged.  The condemned will spend eternity in a literal hell; the redeemed will receive their eternal reward in heaven with the Father.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18Revelation 11:18Revelation 20

What makes us different?
CrossPointe is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural church where everyone is given equal opporuntiy and expectation to use their God given gifts to uplift the believers and reach out to unbelievers.  We have a deep commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) which spurs us to serve our community and minister to the nations.  A big part of our vision is to use our resources to make great impact for the glory of God on a global level.

Baptism
We believe in baptism by full immersion after placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.  Baptism is not a completion of your salvation, it’s an act of Biblical obedience which proves your relationship with Christ.  Baptism is required for church membership.  For additional info on baptism, email pastor@itsthepoint.com
